   (overview - based on a true story)

.....is a compelling dramatization of a female Marathoner's life-long struggle to attain her dream of winning the Olympic Gold Medal, and overcoming her toughest obstacles - her past and herself. What she discovers along her journey of pain and suffering, is a self-realization, that through her complete commitment to the rigors of training she can transform herself from the inside out, thus, reaching the depths of her being. She also realizes that the miracle of life is life, and that the greatest, most profound athletic achievement of all Mankind is giving birth! As she revels in her new found discovery of endurance and embraces her new spiritual awakening she realizes the infinite capacity of all women to love. And of course she can run and win an Olympic marathon as well...after all giving birth is by far a greater more selfless act. Giving birth is what society expects her to do but how can she be there to care for a child when she has not yet reached her potential in a man's world? She is obligated to run, not only for herself, but for all women - to realize the power and strength of what a woman can achieve. In the end, it is in the woman's world where she truly learns that giving birth is, indeed, the most astounding feat of all Mankind. Olympic gold medals pale in comparison, and the world has yet to honor, elevate, and recognize the courage of women who create life above that of the most honored of male sports heroes.
